DIAA Administrator position

The Dairy Industry Association of Australia is now seeking applications from interested contractors to fulfil the DIAA Administrator role. The successful candidate will join the leading provider of member services to the Australian Dairy Manufacturing Industry.  As such, they will be required to:

  • Work from home in a part time contracting role.
  • Operate within family friendly working hours (5-6 hours per day, five days per week).
  • Provide essential administrative support to the Board
  • This position will afford a salary commensurate with skills ($50 – $60 per hour)

About Us:

The Dairy Industry Association Australia (DIAA) has provided high quality member services including technical information, product competitions, networking and professional development opportunities to Australian dairy product manufacturing staff and allied trades for over 40 years.  Our members come from all areas of the dairy industry including product manufacturers, packaging, logistics, research, government bodies, ingredients, marketing, sales and exports to name a few. We also facilitate product judging across the full range of dairy products and seek to assist to develop the careers of our members.

About the role:

This role provides an important support function to all aspects of DIAA’s operations.  Reporting to the National President, the DIAA Administrator will work collaboratively with the Board, the Company Secretary, Branch Committees and the general members and in doing so, provide administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of them.  More broadly, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Board and its sub-Committees.
  • Fielding and responding to member requests.
  • Providing administration services to the product competitions
  • Organising meetings, venues, catering, webinars and social media posts
  • Assist in the preparation of all forms of external communications.
  • Manage members records and files.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum three years’ experience in a similar role supporting senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing timely high quality administrative support.
  • Demonstrated experience and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • High level proficiency in the effective use of Microsoft Office and other contemporary office technology.
  • The ability to efficiently utilise CRM systems and manage website communications and information.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of social media platforms
  • A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and to take initiative to ensure essential work is completed on time and in full.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet. 
  • A proactive attitude, with the initiative to solve problems and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • A good working understanding of the dairy industry would be viewed favourably.
