Ash Barty shed a few tears after watching Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott’s last match. A few days later she beat US player Madison Keys in the semi-finals at Rod Laver Arena. And a few days after that she was crowned AusOpen singles winner – the first Australian to achieve that in 44 years.
