History

Dairy Science World Series was originally created by the DIAA in 1998, to bring together leading dairy researchers and industry personnel from around the world to network and discuss the latest dairy research and science. The first conference in the series was Cheese Science. Other conference themes have highlighted a particular area of scientific endeavour within the post-farmgate dairy industry. The full proceedings of the presented scientific papers of each conference were published as a special issue of the Australian Journal of Dairy Technology.

Since 2011, Dairy Science World Series has been presented as a two or three-day technical short course on a subject of particular relevance to the post-farmgate dairy industry taught by recognised global and Australian experts
